little book

I have been meaning to do this for a while. Andrew has all of these new interests and I keep meaning to take some photos and record parts of his little life right now. I was thinking I would just make a scrapbook page about it, but he loves when I make little books that he can flip through (my scrapbooks are wisely out of his reach). In fact, he often asks us to read him this one or this one before bed (well, when he's not asking us to read Knuffle Bunny and Knuffle Bunny Too). So, I made him this little book that we'll use during Mommy School next week.

The assembly is pretty simple. I printed the photos and cut them into 4x4 squares. I printed the text and cut out little circles for a simple decoration. Then, after the photos and text were glued down, I cut transparencies the same size as the pages, one for the front and one for the back of each page. Then I sewed the layers together with my sewing machine. It took about an hour. Not bad.

And for this last page? Well, I just couldn't help myself. ;)

Yeah, I thought that, too, Anne.

One of the rare pictures where it's possible to see a strong maternal resemblance. Most of the time, I think Andrew is the spitting image of Dave, but it's so cute to see he can be your spitting image sometimes, too.

I think Avery needs a little book like this. She loves to see pictures of herself!
