monday.

Today I am cleaning. Long overdue. My outfit of choice today is jeans and a t-shirt. I am trying to keep cool.

This is the first apartment in this city with our very own thermostat. But we think it is a fake. It is so hot in here, that Andrew and I are in short sleeves and I keep passing him cups of water to keep him hydrated. We turned the heat "off" Saturday morning when we woke up with that too-hot-train-wreck feeling. Now there is a window open in just about every room. And the system is still going strong. Heating our whole neighborhood. We are personally responsible for global warming in our section of town.

All of our other apartments had insane amounts of heat too. Short sleeves were normal in the winter. When we had guests I would suggest that they bring a few short sleeved shirts so they would be comfortable.

It's too bad. It really is a waste of resources for these things to happen. We've told the landlord, but his response time is slow and spotty.

So, we are bracing ourselves for another tropical winter.

That happened at BMA, too. You'd think the people paying the bills would mind their wallets being emptied every time the fuel bill has to be paid enough to fix the problem. What a waste.

I just hope that it isn't our wallets. I can't remember if heating is included. I think it is, it usually is, but I can't remember for sure. uh oh!

Until it rained, we were having a tropical winter too. I had the air conditioning on when putting up my Christmas tree.
