a rainy, snowy day

but a busy one.

I can't seem to stop Christmasing.
and I'm not sure I want to yet.

I second that. Am I getting cookies?

Nice pile! Wish I could dive right in!

Speaking of.... How are you keeping Andrew out of it?

The pile was packaged into boxes by the time he was up from nap. But now he is obsessed with the boxes. So they are in my bedroom with the door closed. Which I am sure only increases the intrigue.

That is incredible, Robyn. How do you do it? Wow!

wow! I am so impressed. I've been invited to two cookie exchange parties where I have to include the recipie (sp?) -- and my recepie is going to be directions to the local bakery!

Good thinking Ms Walker!

I noticed the gingerbread cookies in baggies w/ frosting to decorate it in the bag- what a cute idea! Is that for gifts? I pulled out my Betty Crocker cookbook to make some on your recommendation. But, you're right- I am almost out of molasses and will have to buy more. Is there a certain kind of frosting to get?

Hey Melissa! Thanks! The icing was a last minute idea when I was at this candy making/cake decorating store. I didn't want to decorate the cookies before mailing them because they wouldn't ship well. They are for my nieces and nephews and I thought they could just decorate them when they get there (if they arrive in one piece...)

I have a good recipe for decorator icing, but I think the recipe is aiming to be like the wilson icing in the picture. So, I would get Wilson if you don't want to make your own. If you do want to make your own, let me know and I can pass on the recipe!

Okay- Wilson icing? I am not much of a baker- is that something I can get at a grocery store?

Dave said...

Yup. Or a place like Michaels

I just have to say that your blog is so visually enticing that I find myself looking at it over and over again! You should start a magazine.
