Second Sunday of Advent

by U.A. Fanthorpe

This was the moment when Before
Turned into After, and the future's
Uninvented timekeepers presented arms.

This was the moment when nothing
Happened. Only dull peace
Sprawled boringly over the earth.

This was the moment
When a few farm workers and three
members of an obscure Persian sect

Walked haphazardly by starlight straight
into the kingdom of heaven.

What a perfect poem.

I confess that I spent a long time trying to take a picture of my tree to post on my blog and it always came out looking like a monster or a nuclear blast. I'm really quite disgusted with you right now. ;)

Anne, NO FLASH!!! Dark room, just the tree lit and you will be golden. If there is a way to turn up the ISO that will cut down on the fuzz.
