little stories
1. Isaac, like his mother, seems to love plants. There is one plant in particular that he is especially fond of. He loves struggling his way over to it, grabbing a leaf with his chubby little fist and either tearing the leaf off or pulling over the plant while trying to tear the leaf off. The poor plant is looking quite bald lately as we've had to pull countless leaves out of Isaac's mouth.
On Monday, as Isaac was heading for his favorite plant Andrew goes over to him and scolds "Don't eat the plant, Isaac! It's dangerous!"
The plant now has a new home.
2. While going for a walk last night Andrew says to me "Let's catch snowflakes on our tongue! It's fun! Needs sugar!" It wasn't snowing, but I played along with "It's too early. I never eat December snowflakes. I always wait until January."
Can you guess what movie we've already seen so many times?
3. Isaac gets so excited when he eats that he holds both arms straight out and waves his little hands back and forth. His legs stick out from under his tray and his feet are all flexed. His whole tiny body is tense with excitement.
I told you I was a good cook.

We watched Charlie Brown for Atticus' first time the other day. And as I was just sitting on the computer with ATticus in the other room, he started belly laughing. He's just sitting on the bed resting, but when I asked him what he was laughing at, he said he was thinking about "that Charlie Brown movie." (-:
What cookies are those? Is that sugar cookie dough?
All cooks should be so lucky as to have appreciative diners like Isaac. :)
Pretzel cookies already? I can't wait to see Tara's. I made Holiday nuggets (Dad's fav) yesterday! I am making Rain Forest Bars today-Brazil nuts and coconut!-My fav.
Ohhhhhhhhhhhh, I'm gonna cry!! I have this very vivid memory of you singing "Christmas time is here- woo, woo, woo, woo"... And I was all, "What are you singing???" And you're like "Charlie Brown!" And I said, "Woo, woo, woo, woo" is NOT the sound the ice skates make. And you sheepishly, in Robini cuteness said, "Yes, they do." You're lucky you're cute, lady. :)
P.S. I eat the way Isaac eats!!! :) :) :)
