translation

Andrew is always saying, "I want to give you a hug." He says it in this really sing-song-y way and I've been discovering all the various meanings that he is communicating by saying this simple phrase.

"I want to give you a hug" can mean:

I don't want to finish dinner.
I don't want to go to bed.
I don't want to be in trouble.
I hurt myself.
I need somewhere to wipe my mouth.
I need somewhere to wipe my nose.
and, I think at times it means: I love you.

This is a topic I've been meaning to document for a couple of weeks and it feels great to have this one down. Next up? What I cook and what we eat. Generations to come deserve to know.
