MamaAway
A few weeks ago, I took a MamaAway. I left the kids with Dave and drove north to Rhode Island to see my friend Tara. I was there the whole weekend. I slept in. I ate when I was hungry and not because I needed to feed other people. I went to a matinee. And I talked and talked and talked to my friend. And no one interrupted us. It was really nice. The whole weekend I felt like I was up to no good. It was a great feeling.
And when I pulled up to our street in Brooklyn on Sunday evening I ran from my car to the apartment because I couldn't wait to see everyone. And they (especially Isaac) were very excited to see me.
Absence makes the heart grow fonder...as they say.

Tara looks so pretty!
And I am feeling surprisingly jealous that she got a weekend alone with you. AMAZING!
Great layout!!
What did you think of the "Time Travelers Wife" ? I liked it, but I don't think it lived up to all the hype!
Reading about this makes me take a deep calming breath at the thought of a weekend like this. So wonderful...
Everyone should know that being the crazy scrapbooker that you are, you had this page planned and finished the day after you got back! Hmmmm, six months - ok, we need to plan for the end of February! Our "t&r" weekend was perfect even though Hurricane Danny changed our plans. We didn't do any stamping, but I love how you got the Stampin' Up catalog in one of the pics. Beautiful work! Now I'm waiting to see Dave's page about his weekend with the boys.
I hope that when I'm a mama, I get to do these mini-holidays! Good for you!
Good idea, Tara! I'd love to hear more about Dave's side of things!
Awww, I love this scrapbook page. I think the photo booth shots are so cute. If you come up at the end of February, I hope I can meet you!

What fun! I'm so glad you had your escape!
