I'm too tired for this
Andrew's new go-to phrases are, 'I'm too tired for this.' and 'I don't have much time.'
Yesterday when I asked him to take his jacket off, he got it half-way off and tells me, "I can't do this. I don't have much time."
On Sunday afternoon while we were getting the boys ready for the playground Andrew tells us, "I can't go to the playground. I don't have much time."
And my favorite, last week, while doing his homework he starts to write, "I'm too tired for this" at the top of his homework paper. "Mom, how do you spell tired?" I pointed out that writing "I'm too tired for this" would take a lot longer to write than actually doing the homework on the sheet.
All this makes me wonder if these are phrases I say a lot. But, I don't think so. I can't remember saying "I'm too tired for this" though I'm sure I've said, "I don't have much time." But I don't say it that much.
Perhaps the new Kindergarten schedule is catching up to him. Poor guy. Maybe we should look into earlier bedtimes to help him not feel so tired. Though, it wouldn't help with him feeling so pressed for time. Seems like a Catch 22, I'm afraid.
This was my mom's birthday card. Though, when I talked her on her birthday, she told me all about the card my sister sent her. Man, what is with THAT?? ;)

My younger son has started saying "I'm BEGGING you" when he asks us for something & we don't immediately say yes. I don't know where he is getting it because I don't say that.
I totally think your card is cooler! =)
I wonder if the lack of time comment comes from school, maybe the teachers tell the kids to get a move on with projects when they are dawdling "come on you guys, get a move on, we don't have much time before your mums come to pick you up". But it's so comical how he has picked up on it and using it all the time!
whenever Jake tells me he's too tired for something, it's the perfect excuse to get him to bed early. He doesn't use that line too often!!!
