Since I started working, and the weather shifted and the holidays began their yearly creep towards us, our weekends have become more about getting stuff done and less about seeking adventure. This weekend was about well-overdue haircuts.
And I must say, Andrew's absolute favorite part of getting his haircut, is the bus ride home.
This weekend was also about running errands in the city and getting slices for lunch.
And spending time in the new playground in Union Square, where both boys found their perfect spots.
Isaac scooted around in the sand, sort of like a fish in water.
And Andrew joined a group of dizzy-makers in their games of spin and crash.
We met up with Tess who was thrilled to see us. And I learned that on weekends when I am feeling frustrated by my kids, I need to invite Tess over. Because the same things that irritate me, she thinks are absolutely delightful.
And that's nice to be reminded of.
And for today? It's my birthday! I have cupcakes to make and Amazon gift cards to spend!
Hope you all had a lovely weekend!
