Last Night
Dave is already asleep on the couch and has been for an hour. It's 9:30. This is what parenthood does to decent folk.
Andrew is teething and for our family, this is the run down:
Teething=Diaper Rash= Painful tush= Up at Night changing diaper= no one sleeps
Last night was one of the worst. Usually, around one, Andrew wakes us up and politely asks for clean pants. Well, not really, but in comparison to last night, that is what seems like normal behavior. He was up a lot. Was peeing a lot. Was crying a lot. So, we were up a lot, changing the dipe, trying to convince him to go back to sleep. At one point we gave up and Dave took him out to the living room where the two watched silent movies for a little bit. That'll put anyone to sleep.
So, again, Dave is the late night hero and I am the late night wuss. Well, I am the Hero By Day, Let Me Sleep At Night wuss.
Good night. Going to bed. Hoping for a better night.
Should I wake Dave and bring him to the bedroom? Or keep him in ready mode, on the couch with silent films in the dvd player?
hmmm....
