Dream analysis

If you're not into this, hang on...this is pretty funny. You just might change your mind.

I had a really hard time waking up this morning. Usually that is because I am in the middle of a rather vivid dream and would like to keep sleeping and see how everything wraps up. But, I can't always do that. So, I was Zombie mom/wife for the first 20 minutes or so this morning. Dave was all concerned and was trying to cheer me up with compliments and favors here and there.

D: Are you alright?
Me: mmmmm....
D: Do you have the sads?
Me: no.
D: You are acting like you have the sads.
Me: no. I was dreaming when you woke me up.
Me: I was dreaming about war.
D: Yeah. War sucks. (Dave goes on to list facts about the Iraq war that he saw on the news this morning while I was thinking that MY war was way better than that).
D: So, what was going on?
Me: There were these heat seeking missles that were developed to only be in the water. that way they could control them better. They wouldn't be flying all around in the air.
D: Were you firing the missles?
Me: No. I was rowing.
D: You were in a boat? You were rowing a boat that could fire heat seeking missles.
Me: hmmm....actually we weren't in a boat. We were just all walking through the water and some people were setting off the missles. But I was rowing.
D: You were rowing, but you weren't in a boat?
Me: Yeah. And I was really good at it. I kept thinking that I might get promoted for how good I was rowing. I was right at the front.
D: Were the missles hitting anyone?
Me: I don't know. I didn't see any of that.

So, here's the analysis, right? Under pressure, I feel like I am a rock star. Working hard. Staying focused. Getting promoted.

But, helping no one.

I had another crazy dream a few months ago where there was this gigantic natural disaster and I remember feeling so determined to keep Andrew and Dave alive. I was so confident that we would make it.

But last night, it was just me.
Don't know where they went.

But I was really good at rowing.
