Tomorrow

when I wake up, I will be 30.

I think I am ready. I have the recent haircut. I have nice clothes picked out. I even have the day sort-of planned. I will work in the morning, because doing a little work makes me feel good and I want to feel good. And I am hoping to start one of my holiday projects during Andrew's naptime. We are going out to dinner to a silly family restaurant and I requested a Cold Stone Creamery cake. Maybe, just maybe I can convince Dave to watch a girly movie with me tomorrow night.

I have a feeling this birthday will be a little anti-climatic. All year I was wide-eyed about 30 coming closer and closer. And now that it is almost here I am realizing it is not as big a deal as I thought. I will not suddenly be a grown-up. Phew. I will still be silly. I will still be a little naive. I will still be me.

And I guess that is okay after all.

Oh, Robyn. I so wish I could come make you a cake and watch a girly movie with you. I hope you'll still be friends with us "kids".

Susan, I feel that I will have a lot to teach you from my years of wisdom. That alone should keep our friendship intact. But wait until tomorrow. Maybe there will be wisdom in store with this 30 thing. If not, I'm sure we will find other things to connect us, despite the age difference...

;)

Can you make ice cream cakes?

Thanks for reading my blog- and HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!

So you, Kelly, Firefly and I all lived in Byington together...I think it'd be fun to convince other Byingtonites to join in on the blogging thing. Are you in touch w/ anyone?

hmmm....I'm in touch with Diana and Jessica. and I know how to contact Heather who would still be in touch with Lauren. And I think Diana knows how to reach Sarah. It's the Marnie, Summer, Erin, Wendy branch that I have no idea about. And I have tried my darndest to find Ruth, but to no avail.

I love blogs.

Hi,
Maybe you could email Firefly for my email address and send me email addresses? That way I could start a group email. I can get in touch with Lisa and Ruth (who actually emailed me recently! A miracle!). Melanie is on another planet. This could be fun. (-:

No . . . I can't make ice cream cakes. I guess I figured you were buying a cake because there was no one to make you one :) Well, if I were there, you know I'd put a dent in that ice cream cake. Gotta celebrate St. Albert!

Oh! And I knew it was sneaking up on us this week, and I didn't know the day. You should have mentioned it on the phone! Happy, happy birthday. Welcome to the 30s. I'm choosing to believe that they are wonderful.
