morning inspiration

I have had lots of creative bursts lately. There are all kinds of things inspiring me. Books, blogs, magazines, friends and, I think in part Sprout. I think Sprout is at least sending messages to get a move on. Crafting will be put on hold for a little while and if I want to try to make bagels or mini-quilts or what have you, I had better go ahead and do it now. Pushy kid, no?

There has also been this strange experience that I have been having in the mornings. I have been waking up with creative ideas. It's been great, but a little weird. I go to bed thinking about tomorrow's project and wake up with an idea of how to tweak it to work out better. I have started writing down the ideas that come so that I won't forget them if I don't get to all the projects I have planned.

This has not only affected my crafting, but also my mornings. Usually Dave would have to drag me out of bed at the late and lazy hour of 8 so that I could shower before he left for work. Now I am often the first one up dabbling in the kitchen with flour and eggs or sifting through my craft supplies getting things ready for the day. I love not having the morning battle of getting out of bed. I love just getting up and getting going. So much easier.

I can't decide if I love this hop-out-bed, well-rested feeling or if it just a tease as I face the days of not-so-well-rested.

Ok. Let's be honest. I like it.

Ah, waking up refreshed and ready to take on the day! What a wonderful feeling. I am looking forward to feeling like that again! Actually, now that the weather is so nice and Timothy is sleeping a little better, it is getting easier. To be honest, I dealt with the sleep deprivation pretty well when Timothy was real small--perhaps adrenaline or just knowing that I was needed made getting up 4 or 5 times a night okay. It is 11 months in of not getting good sleep that is wearing on me. Anyway, I hope the energy stays with you a while longer.
