busy morning

So, not as productive as it could have been. I mean, there could be a whole new person to tend to. But still, not bad.

Andrew claims the butter comes to room temperature better this way. And really, who's to argue with the son of an avid baker?

Lemon Poppy Seed Muffins.

These are Mudslide Cookies. The dough has a pound and a half of melted chocolate, chocolate chips, and chopped pecans. Then, as sort of an afterthought, a half cup of flour is added. You know. For good measure.

And some bread for sandwiches.

So fun. And if I go into labor this afternoon, I am bringing those cookies.

Oh my goodness those cookies look good. So does everything else, but wow!

Are there really 6 sticks of butter in them?

Dave said...

no. There is 1/3 cup of butter in the cookies. But 5 eggs! woah. There was a 1/2 cup of butter in the muffins. I softened too much butter. ;) Maybe I should have just kept baking since it was all soft!

Yummy. I think you should go into labor soon so a couple of those cookies will still be in the cookie jar! ;)

Funny. I just got an email from your husband saying the same thing...

I'll do my best! I promise!

Wow! Where does all that energy come from? It must be pre-labor energy! Those cookies look great-what cookbook? See you soon.

Where is Sprout?

The suspense is killing me...

Sprout is still in the belly. He posted a sign that reads "no vacancies!" so I think his plan is to stay for a long, long time.

Wow, those cookies look amazing! I can't believe you have that much energy to accomplish all that baking. Good for you! I'll be thinking of you in the upcoming days...good luck with everything! Sprout is coming soon, I just know it!
