Today I am considering posting an ad in the paper.
ISO new mother for my children. Must love being spit up upon and fussy naptimes. Must be patient and firm with control hungry toddler. Must wake up refreshed in the mornings after getting up to feed people in the middle of the night. Must be able to be several places, meeting several needs, at the same time.
Because I want a day off. I want a full night's sleep. I don't want to snap at anyone or clean up after anyone or discipline anyone for a full 24 hours. Maybe 48.
If you know anyone that fits that description, let me know.
Because if I had a towel, I'd be throwing it in.

Hear, hear!
My heart goes out to you. I SO know how you feel. Can you imagine? A full day? I have no idea what that would be like!
Would Andrew like to talk to Atticus on the phone? Sometimes, when I really need a break, I call my sister and ask for Paige or Cole and have Atticus talk. If you think that'd help, call us! I'm sure Atticus would love to talk Andrew's ear off!He could even sing "Be my LIttle Baby" live for him.
I love the picture w/ this post!I want to steal this post, actually. I want it to be mine. (-: Well, no not really. We've been in a pretty good groove lately. But I'll need it again in the near future, I'm sure.
Hang in there. No one can do it better than you!
I love to imagine Atticus talking Andrew's ear off. So cute!
Poor Robyn. I wish you could have shared my "spa day." And Eric is hankering for another babysitting day. So if you're lucky enough to find a free day before January, you might just get a few hours off. :)
Been there, done that, lived through it, have great life now!
However, as you know mothering never ends!
God bless your honesty Robyn. Mothering sucks sometimes. ;)
Robyn, I think you should definitely add Eric's to your list of needs to meet! I mean if he is "hankering," give that guy what he wants! ;)
Oh boy! Been there, done that, bought the tee shirt, starred in the video etc etc! These times will pass - honest! But it's so hard to function without a decent nights sleep. And just as you get your life on an even keel, they'll be grown up and you'll still be having sleepless nights because they are out late, not home and it's 2am, blah blah blah..... no wonder most mums have the odd grey hair or two ;-)
I didn't have any grays until Atticus was born. Now they are popping up everywhere!
Me too! Me too!! I was just telling Seth I want one day when no one throws up on me, screams at me, kicks me, etc. I don't want to negotiate a tantrum, change a diaper, bend over 1000 times, or wipe food off the floor. If anyone answers your ad, ask if they have a sister!!!
