Ah, gingerbread houses. Looks like a very fun pary.
Gingerbread houses make me think of the witch who boils children in her cauldron and eats them. I always loved that story when I was little. So deliciously daring and exciting to be Hansel and Gretel and brave her dark woods.
So glad your party went well. :) I was thinking of you today.
Firefly, I learned from Eric this year that it was a tradition for his mother to buy gingerbread houses at Christmas and they would break off pieces and eat them with tea. I said the same thing--that it totally reminded me of the Hansel and Gretel story.
I never really ate much gingerbread as a kid, but Eric loves it. It's a childhood taste for him...and filled with iron-rich molasses. (good for the pregnant lady) So we're making some this year. :)

And a Merry Christmas to us all. ;)

For some reason as a child I always felt sorry for that witch.
Oh, and the party was great!
