Dad,

I think I found a hamburger roll that can stand up to your burgers. In fact, these babies might dwarf your silly, little patties. I'm just sayin'. I see a Memorial Day show down in our future.

Ready the grill.

Okay...it's a little early...ummmmm...

Prepare to ready the grill.

At our house they dwarf my moist and tasty chick pea burgers. To each his own, I guess.

But Dad, I'm serious. Prepare to be stunned. ;)

Okay, can you at least tell us where you got the recipe so that those of us with similar cookbook libraries have half a chance of replicating these things on our own :)

sure thing, Q. These are the Onion Knots in Marcy Goldman's Passion for Baking. Though I just made them into rolls and smeared the tops with sauteed onions instead of dehydrated onions...

Good to see you commenting, Susan! Believe it or not, folks have been asking about you!

Yeah, what happened to you, Susan?

thanks, robyn. I think I'll be making some of those as soon as we're ready to fire up our grill again.

As for what happened to me . . . gosh, I didn't know it had been so long since I commented. I've been busy working since October and then I just had a baby a few weeks ago. I'm still an avid fan of all things Made in Brooklyn. Guess I should click over to comments a little more often!
