This weekend was, more or less a bust! I met a friend in mid-town to go fabric shopping only to find that my favorite fabric store was packed with women from the nearby Quilting Show. Too packed to really get a good look at things and do any kind of savvy purchasing. So, perhaps this weekend? I hope so!
After giving up on fabric, Dave and I decided to head to the Lower East Side to visit Guss' Pickles. Andrew and Dave love pickles and getting pickles right from the barrel could really redeem our trip. Turns out though, Gus observes the Sabbath and his store was closed. Oye vey.

I usually go to City Quilters. I have never been to J&B/B&J. IS that where you got your apron fabric a few years ago?
Isn't it weird when it seems like whatever you have planned deliberately goes out of its way to not let you do what you want?! I like to think that everything in life happens for a reason, maybe you are about to find a brand new favourite fabric store you never knew about because you always went to City Quilters! Or maybe CQ will have a 50% off sale next time you go ...
