this and that

1. Saturday was my mom's birthday! The wrapping paper I got for her gift inspired the card I made to go with it. Pink, fabric cupcake. So cute!

2. Today is day 1 of Andrew's evaluation process. I was very, very nervous this morning. I tried to dress nice and look "friendly, capable, a good mom". I also tried dressing Andrew 'just so'. I washed his face, trimmed his nails, double knotted his shoelaces. I want it very clear that this kid is super loved and cared for and that he has a clean face and nails and well-tied shoes. But, we get to his school to find out that 2 of the 3 evaluators are home sick. So, a slow start to this process and we might have to dress nice another morning to try again.

3. Dave is working from home today. Isaac is singing his sleepy song in his crib, but, alas, not yet asleep. I should clean our apartment. Or maybe drink some more tea.

I'm sure they'll know he comes from a loving home but I love the fact you dressed him up :) Hope the evaluation gives you some answers to your questions. Love the cupcake card - very cute!

Andrew's school will certainly be able to tell he comes from a very loving home -- even if his little face is dirty and his shoes are untied!

Boys do have a habit of acquiring dirt and becoming 'untied' just on the walk to school. Or am I the only one who has their own personal 'Pig-pen'? My son attracted dirt like metal to a magnet!
Things haven't improved much and he's 19 now!
Hope the evaluations go well, and they won't need to see short finger nails to know how well loved he is!
