Christmas 2009, here I come
My holiday prep has begun and one of the things I needed to finish in this fine month of November was the framework for my December Daily album. So, yesterday I got out my collected stash of supplies and got crackin'.
This year I took 6x6 page protectors and sewed little pockets for photos, journaling cards and cutie whatnot.
I love the effect! It makes me feel like there are secret around every corner.
I left a couple of pages without pockets. These will house 6x6 photos and I attached the journaling card to the front of the page protector.
To record the date on each page, I made these circles with numbers that I will attach as I assemble each page.
I'm so happy with it and I can't wait to begin!

oh, i love your daily! it is beautiful. i did one last year and i still love it!
Great start so far! Can't wait to see more!
This is just beautiful, Robyn! I've tried to do December Daily a few times and I always burn out after about 4 days. Maybe I'll try to at least add to it this year....
Lovely! My Journal Your Christmas album is a 6X6 this year and sewing the pages is a great idea! I need to get busy decorating the cover. I have all the papers, etc. put together in a ziplock bag, but I like to wait until I decide on the prompt before I choose the papers for the day.
Beautiful job!
i never thought about sewing them either! im so happy you posted this! its gorge!
it looks lovely and if I were you,
I'd be totally psyched to start (:
Awesome, Robyn. And, for some reason, I really love the effect of your hands in the pictures. Was that a conscious decision?
love your album have been putting mine together will add some picks to my blog later:)

Q: I was trying to show where the clear pockets are because I think they are hard to see laying flat. I like it too though. I wonder if you can see the effects of my Mary Kay Satin Hands set. ;) I LOVE that stuff.
MagicLady: It was sooo not my idea. I follow Ali Edward's blog and she's been sewing pockets in her page protectors for a while.
Love what you did with this album. What a great idea to sew the page projectors; I'm adding that to my list of techniques to try. Thanks for the inspiration!
That looks amazing! Santa is bringing me a sewing machine, hopefully, so I'll definately have a go at stitching on page protectors!
Love what you've done with it so far! Its going to be awesome when you're all done! tfs
I think I might try to do a December album, too, this year! I love seeing Ali's and yours. I'm going out to town for Thanksgiving and I'd like to include New year's Eve, so I might do 25 days somewhere between them. Because, frankly, there are some days that do. not. need. documentation. And I can just skip those days! Thanks for the reminder. I need to get crackin'
Well done you for getting your album done, I am nearly there - just a few more pages to go!!
I'm clearly in the minority here. What's is a daily?
Really like your album. Looks like you'll have fun putting it together in Dec. (I'm a Blogging 4 Scrapbookers classmate.)
