Deceember Daily: done!
Yesterday I finished my December Daily scrapbook. Take a look!
Isaac and his favorite ornament:
Where I spent a lot of the holiday:
Christmas Eve and Christmas Day were not at all like we expected they would be. And it turns out, as these things often do, that these days were filled lots of sweet, sweet moments. I wanted more room to tell my stories than the format I had set up allowed. So, I decided to make a little book of those memories. I put it inside a page protector at the end of the scrapbook:
Here is the little book:
The intro. You can click on any of these photos if you want to see the stories.
Andrew wrapping presents:
Isaac wreaking havoc during story time:
Andrew's midnight wanderings:
Christmas morning:
Andrew and I eat Christmas dinner. No, we didn't have cinnamon buns for dinner...it was the only food pic I had for the day. ;)
Even though I don't have a photo for this one, it's my favorite Christmas story. If you chose one to read, chose this one.
Andrew's toys and Isaac's mischief:
In the last page of the book, I put some Christmas cards I received..especially the ones with photos!
And there you have it!

Just perfect! And I'm so glad that your DS1 recognises the power of love already. I wish you and your family a wonderful and healthy 2010.
Wow! So sweet! I'm sorry that Christmas 09 didn't turn out as planned. Sometimes, that's for the better!
Beautiful, Robs! :)
Was it John Lennon who said that 'Life is what happens while you're busy making other plans'?
Whoever it was, it's so true, we can plan and plan and plan, but then something unexpected comes along and changes everything.
sounds like your unexpected Christmas unfolded in a beautiful way even if it wasn't how you thought it would be.
I don't think I gave you enough love... OMG! Love it.
what a great book to look back on :)
wonderful work :-) such a treasure!
Wait, don't finish yet! There are 3 more days left in December!!! Are you trying to rush me?! ;)
I so know the feeling of wanting to remember these special moments, except lately I also want to freeze them to make them last forever. Having children has turned me into the sappiest cheese ball ever.
Love the picture of Isaac resting his chin on the couch. The story of Andrew and his grandfather is straight up melt-your-heart sweetness. These books you make each year are going to be such gifts to you and your boys when you look back at them years from now.
I hope that you and Dave are getting closer to feeling like 100%!
Oh, and I meant to add earlier: I think it's a rare person who is able and willing to notice these special moments in the midst of frustration and sickness and big plans needing to change. Pat yourself on the back, mama!
My kids made it to MIB! Yay!
Love how your album turned out! I always admire your photography. And what a great idea to add a little mini book at the end to fit more photos/journaling. Beautiful!
Robyn, that is awesome! Good for you for finishing it despite this December not being exactly what you planned. Good for you!
Oh my gosh, Robyn, I love this. Your mini-book about Christmas Eve and Day is priceless.
I love your photos in the mini-book too! You inspire me. :o)
