Season of Peeking: reveal!
Remember those fabric circles that looked, as Mama V pointed out, alarmingly like scrunchies? They became pin cushions!
This was one of those gifts that I first wanted to make for myself. Then thought I could make several and give them as gifts. Then thought of people that might like/use a pincushion...and who didn't already have several (sorry, Mom!). So, this ended up being a backwards sort of gift giving process. But, oddly, no one seemed to mind. ;)
And for a Rice Family update. Dave came down with some sort of terrible something on Christmas Day and has been practically bed ridden since. Luckily the boys are busy with new toys and friends and family have stopped in with small deliveries of care. We can get healthy! I just know it! (I think we can, I think we can...)

I LOVE these pincushions!!! I thought maybe you were making soft balls for your boys to throw in the house. :o) Anyway, what great gifts and fun colors. I would love to know how to make these. Do you have a pattern? Or a tutorial you could recommend?
Good luck getting everyone well in your house!
Oh, Phew!
;)
Oh, now I see what they are! When I first saw them I wondered if they would end up being filled with beans or polystyrene beads and made into bean bags for the boys.
Sorry to hear that Dave has gone down with 'Man Flu', all that coping and being in charge for a few days has obviously taken it's toll and lowered his resistance. Hope he's better soon!
Adorable pincushions!!!!
Just stopping by to say hello! I really enjoy reading your blog. I wanted to ask permission to put a link to your blog on my blog!
Thanks,
Emily
The pincushions are great! Sorry to hear your DH has now come down with something. Don't overdo things yourself, take it slow. Yay for new toys and family! Hope you're all on your feet again soon.
Wow, I LOVE your pincushions. Great project and fabrics!
