Happy Blogoversary!

Three years ago today I started blogging and I have never looked back. I just love it. I love how it organizes my day, how it organizes my projects, and how it provides a platform for me to show off a little.

So, my friends, to celebrate I have a pretty cool give-away for you today! I am still totally feeling the urban sewing vibe and I so I made my family ornaments for our Christmas tree!

And here's where you come in. I made an extra one for you! To be entered in the Give Away, leave a comment telling me what your store would be called! I'll do the drawing tomorrow morning, so make sure to enter today!

Good luck!

SO CUTE!!!! I don't think I am eligible for your drawing being your sister and all. I have been stalking your blog all morning just waiting for your post!!!

firefly said...

How many time can I enter this contest, exactly? ;)

Dave said...

Tara! You are soooo eligible! What would your store be called?!?

firefly said...

I want "Andrew's Pickles." So cute!

Tara, I think you are eligible!

Congratulations on your Blogoversary! I saw you in an online class and clicked through to your blog several months ago. You are superwoman! I don't have a clever name for a store (altho I would love to visit Andrew's Pickles) and I don't get a tree so I will let someone else who will display your work of art appropriately have my chance to win!

Love your blog, and I love blogging. I agree with everything you say about it. My shop would be:
Maria's Photos
(and I'm sure my family would agree!)
Rinda (aka Maria)

Tara Whalen said...

Oh yeah!!!

My store would either be... Scrapbook Destination - in honor of my old store... OR The Learning Place ;)

I would love to have a candy store even if I woudn't make any money (I'd eat all my profits...) I would call it "One of each"
Happy anniversary; it's always a pleasure to read your posts!

What a great idea! Hm...let me see...how about "PaperTurtle's Place"? Or "Deb's Diner" if it fits better. I'll let you pick if I win. :o)

Congrats on three years! I'm feeling great about having just completed my first year and I just posted my 100th post (with a giveaway too!).

Love your blog, Robyn, and your craft!

Happy Blogoversary! Did you know I love your blog? I do. It's one of my favorite internet stops every day. I think my store would be called:

Wendolonia's Craftopia

I'm not sure that would all fit on the window though....

I'm not going to win, I know. Because my store would be called "Purple Personality" and that just doesn't work with the aesthetic of your building.

I thought about lying, because I want one!

Melissa Belmonte said...

Or maybe I'd call it "morada".

Ooh, how lovely! My store would be called Ruth's Book Cellar. Ooh, I'm so excited by the thought that I might win!! Happy Blogaversary!

I love this. Happy Blogoversary, Dill! You set the gold standard for awesome blogs. I think you know what my store name would be...and the colors are perfect! Stupid's Pizza Shop - your other readers are going to be like, "whaaaat??" but it totally represents the heart of the Robyn and Tara friendship. Now they're even more confused. This would be one of my favorite ornaments ever! Fingers crossed.

adorable! What a great giveaway. I've been following since April 1, 2007 -- I know because I bookmarked it that way (on accident!) I can't believe its been so long -- I guess that's why I feel like I know you!
I think my ornament would say something like JIW's Bits and Bobs -- because I'd like to have some craft things, some decorating things, plants, great coffee -- lots!

Robyn,
This is brilliant! I love your blog and I love your quilts and I love you! I should have put that in reverse order.

My husband's dream is to own a boat marina on the north shore so my place would be "Pete's Docks" front office or something like that.

I have friends that read this blog regularly and I think they should comment. Hey Anne, don't you want a tea house called "The Tea Cozy"? Terri, I think you should have a place for your wares called "The Knitty Gritty".

I hope I win!!

Congrats Robyn!

Whenever I would play "store" as a kid I had a restaurant called "Molly's Menu," so let's go with that.

Now then, I think it's going to have to be'Deb's Dunkin' Donuts'

please let it be me... please let it be me ... pleeeeeeeeeeeease

MandiCrocker said...

I would name mine 'The Stupids.' ;) Okay, okay... MANDICAKES! :) :) :)

Mama V said...

Brilliant indeed! Those pickle barrels are awesome!

Almost as awesome as your blog! It's one of my daily highlights as well. So glad you decided to start it up as a gift to yourself on that fateful day walking along Brooklyn Heights. The blog world is such a more fun place for it!

I don't feel I can enter your drawing because you've made so much for me already. But I'll play along, just because it's fun. My store would say, "Roach's Yarn Shop."

Oh yeahhhhhh.

Mama V said...

Scratch that last name! Instead, it'd say "The Knitting Roach." Much more catchy for conversation-starting. ;)

Now pick someone else! ;)

I've always wanted to have a used bookstore/coffeshop but I've never actually thought of a name for it. How about Books and Beans?

Congrats Robyn! I love the idea. I wish for "Mamma's Don't You Dare Cafe"

love, emm

Kirsten said...

Can I enter for Eric and I both in one comment?

Eric said he would want: Eric's Electronic Bookshop

And I would want...hmm...Cruzen's Coffee and Tea

Congrats on 3 years. I've enjoyed your hard work. :)

Miss Vicki said...

Wow!! I love all the names-how can you choose?! Your friends are soooo creative. Mine would be:
Miss Vicki's Sage Advise-open 24hours. (But I think I could get one w/o taking the one at this offering)

Stacey and Jayson Lavers said...

Robyn, you amaze me!! I love the ornaments. I'm not really creative, so if I win (am I'm feeling like I might :-), could you come up with something catchy? Something about Stacey (obviously...) and kids consignment shops. I'm so into those lately!! Thanks Robyn (my favorite blogger ever!!)

Stacey and Jayson Lavers said...

Jayson just came up with Stacey's Second Hand. What do you think? It's kinda catchy!!

Sarah said...

Man, I'd go for "Sarah's Cinema" but Dave already called that theme, so what about "S&J's Gallery" because John and I love art!

Katie or Ashton said...

Hey Robyn, I almost forgot to check your blog today. I've been working at my "part-time" job nearly full time. Anyway love your family stores and I find it hard to believe it has been three years. My store would have to be Lorie Lynn's Hardware.

Dave said...

awesome. Lorie commented. ;)
Thanks!!!

Maritza said...

Love your work. Very inspiring. My store would be called Bodega; Spanish for store.

Hi Robyn,

I found your blog through your sister Tara. I live in Colorado, and I think she told you I check it daily. You amaze me with your creativity, baking, and craft projects. I don't know how you do it all. You have a gift with writing that makes reading your blog so much fun. I love to hear about life in the city. I would have a unique speciality store that had home decor items, inspiration plaques, clocks, etc. I would call it "Time In a Bottle."
