Chunky Cheese Bread

The author of the cookbook claims that this recipe alone is worth the price of the book. Which, makes me think I shouldn't share this recipe with you. But, I will again highly recommend the cookbook Passion for Baking. When it arrives in the mail, turn immediately to the recipe for Chunky Cheese Bread and get crackin'. You won't regret it.

She has you roll in shredded cheddar cheese, then cut up the rolled dough into crazy hunks that get tossed into a pan (sort of like Monkey Bread). Then you drizzle it with melted butter and top with chunks of more cheddar. It's amazing.

Honestly, Robyn, I don't know how you can keep that kind of temptation around without finding your whole family turn into rollie-pollies. I have decided that all of your prolific baking must have created unprecedented levels of self-control in the Rice household. :)

I'm with Firefly. How is it possible to have bread and cheese in one loaf and not gobble down the whole thing?! I would have no self-control.
