more party prep

Yesterday I posted photos of the soft pretzels my mom and I made while she was here. After she left, I made these wax paper envelopes to package them in.

They were simple to make. I just tore off ten sheets of wax paper, each about twelve inches long. I cut each one in half to make twenty envelopes in total. Then, I folded the rectangles in half with the shorter ends together. I folded down the top edges to make a cuff on the outside of the envelope and I ran each one through my sewing machine to close up the open ends.

Then, I just made some simple labels to finish them off.

And there you have it. One day closer to Isaac's party. It better not rain.

I've been telling aTticus for years now that someday we'd make pretzels. And I just don't feel like it. WIsh we could trade kids for a day and you could come make pretzels with him. (-:
