Yesterday was Dave's birthday, and unfortunately for the birthday boy, the special day was strongly overshadowed by our recent Thomas extravaganza. The boys and I were able to pull together a little birthday something after school and everyone seemed pleased with our birthday celebrations. Especially, ahem, Andrew. ;) It is all about him, am I right?
I made a Dark Fudge Bundt Cake. When it came out of the oven I covered it with chocolate chips, which I smeared into a chocolate coating once they melted. Yum!
Andrew made a Maze Book. Which we wrapped in paper and a bow and had waiting on Daddy's plate at dinner.
Isaac made a collection of paintings.
Through cakes, mazes and paintings, I think were able to show him a little love.

:o) The books your boys made are priceless. And the cake looks yummy. I do something similar when I make brownies -- lay a few Hershey bars on top when they come out of the oven then spread them around when they are melted.
