Andrew is still a squirt of few words. But has learned to use a limited vocabulary as well as an incredible amount of non-verbal communication to make good points.
For example:
Everyday, sometimes several times a day, Andrew brings me his cup. He sets it on the desk where I am working. Then, he goes to the fridge, opens it, gets the juice and puts that next to his cup on my desk. He points to the lid of the juice jug. "open". Sometimes this is a hard one to piece together. What could he want?
The other night we had corn on the cob for dinner. I cut the cobs in half and put them in a bowl. He polished off two cob halves, handed me the bowl and pointed to the kitchen. "in there". hmmm.....
Yesterday was the best. We were playing with some of his toys. He stands up suddenly, taps his tush and says, 'poo'. He goes to his room, gets out his changing pad and lays down on it. This one I quickly figured out.
He might have a future as a mime.
The world needs more mimes, right?

no. I am terrible at babble translation which is why I think that Andrew has taken to non-verbal communication. He might have given up on me.
