tuesday

Today I discovered an extra hour and half that I didn't know I'd have. Dave is home sick and took Andrew to play group this morning while I went to my doctor's appointment with Sprout. We were planning on me taking over for him at play group when I got back, but when I called on my way home, he said he didn't mind staying and doing his sniffling with a roomful of toddlers. So, I found myself alone in the apartment. A rarity.

You might wonder: what did she do with her time? How did she enjoy herself? 80's music and crazy dancing? Time spent jumping on the couch? A nap, at least?

No. I did what I would have done if Andrew was home and there was no playgroup. I made scones, picked up and blogged. Does this make me boring? I think it might.

In other news, tomorrow or Thursday I will be able to cross off an item from my blog's To Do list. This is a first. The list has been dusty and neglected for months. But I'm almost ready. A few more details to pull together and off it goes. Can you guess which one I've done?

Alright guys, what are you saying? I might in a bit over my head? Well there are some tangible-in-the-short-term ones! Or is there only one and the answer is so obvious that it feels silly to say it?

hmmm.....so far, 0 for 3. ;)

I knew it! St. Petersburg, right? You didn't blog much this weekend, you know . . .

OK, I think I might put in the only serious guess. :) I'm thinking you've almost finished organizing a new home office.

Either that or you've taught Andrew to be kind and reflective. And good thing, too. You better get to that one before Friday!

the city quilt - you've probably been dying to take pictures of it, but you wanted it to be a surprise, right?

If you're crossing something off, you better add something new. How about this one:

"Visit Marti on the farm in California"

I've got to agree w/ seeking la loba and ms walker. You've been doing a lot of cleaning lately, so I think you've organized yourself a home office. What ever it is, congrats! It feels great to accomplish things and cross them off a dusty list!

I am hoping you have applied for the Phd program because you do not have enough on your plate already! Did Dave go to playgroup to exchange sniffles w/ the toddlers?

He sure did! There's really no better place for a little germ enchange. We got a few thank you notes from toddler moms for sending a dad with the sniffles to play group. ;)

I'm thinking that if toddler playgroup seems like a good way to spend a sick day . . . maybe Dave needs a vacation. Work must be really bad.
