e. brown

I love Charlie Brown. My siblings love him. My parents love him (admit it, Dad! You're smitten!). And now, Andrew does too.

At Christmas when he had been through a season of It's The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown, and A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving he was ready to appreciate the best of the best: A Charlie Brown Christmas. At the time he called Charlie Brown: 'E. Brown'. As in, "watch E. Brown, please!" But, as this kid insists on learning and growing despite my attempts to stunt him (I called him 'E. Brown' probably longer than Andrew did), he now not only knows how to say 'Charlie Brown', he also knows the rest of the characters' names. Even Frieda.

and I am so, so proud.

I grew up with a pastor who used a Charlie Brown story as an example/metaphor/analogy in EVERY sermon! You guys would have loved it there! :)

I'll have to introduce Lucas to Charlie Brown someday soon...

We just got 'Charlie Brown Christmas' at the Salvation Army the other day! Every year since we got married (even before we had kids), I've made Chris watch it w/ me at Christmastime.
