If you don't have a daughter,

You can always borrow your friend's.

I am so glad that there is a Baby Tess in my life. I mean, I have 3 beautiful nieces and I have other friends (that live out of town) that have little girls, but it is so different to have a little girl so close. One who has parents that don't mind if, every now and then, I pretend I'm related to her.

Baby Tess is celebrating her very first Passover this week and her mom said it would be alright if I took a crack at the Passover dress. Most of Tess' clothes are pink, so when I went fabric shopping I looked for feminine looking fabrics in other colors. I wanted something funky for the border around the bottom of the dress and something quieter and more understated for the rest of the dress. I used a pattern from Little Stitches, by Amy Butler.

This weekend I went over to Tess' house for her to try it on and for me to get some pics. She is growing so fast and has just about outgrown the dress already! Too bad! I guess I'll just have to make some more dresses...

shucks.

Thanks for the comment on my blog Robyn! I'm doing pretty good and Jake is in love with his sister. He finds that she sleeps too much but still loves to kiss and hug her! So cute!
