gotta do it



Not only is it not Christmas until I make these cookies, but it's also not Christmas until I eat so many of them.







No more playing around. I mean business now.
Jolly Holiday. For real this time.

We also made these cookies yesterday for teacher's gifts. They are very good so I am happy to give them away (i would eat them all if I didn't!)
We had a hard time rolling them. I was wondering how much time do you leave the dough in the fridge before...

Cat, this time I left it in the fridge overnight. But an hour should do you. I find that you really have to knead the dough before putting it in the fridge. And then again as you are forming the pretzels. It's all about the kneading. ;)

Robyn: that would explain it! We made the dough about 2 minutes before!!!
I'll know better next year (yes, they are now a tradition!)
